Short course will take place at Best Western 

30 place de la Marina - Saint Raphaël close to the Congress Area

A free short course is proposed on Sunday afternoon  6^th October  from 14:00 to 18:00 PM

It will take place at the Best Western Hotel (next to the conference center).

It will focus on materials ground testing with tutorials based on concrete cases highlighting the complexity of designing and performing representative tests.It will be constructed to be interactive with the organization of hands-on exercise.

•    Evaluation of materials against space environment exposure: overview of methodology (E. Laurent, CNES)

•    Radiation ageing & testing of materials - elaboration of a test plan (S. Duzellier, ONERA)

•    Typical case-study from a space project – how to validate/test materials for a specific mission environment, or how to solve a specific NCR involving materials testing (A. Tighe, ESA)

•    Contamination : material outgassing monitoring and testing, examples of contaminants and typical techniques for their sampling and characterization (D. Faye/G. Rioland - CNES, C. Soares -JPL)
