This paper summarises the continued software development of the ESA REACH Tool in an effort to mitigate against potentially costly materials obsolescence risks to space projects that arise from the EU chemicals legislation REACH. It shows the benefits of using an automated system to monitor substances of very high concern (SVHCs) within a list of materials relevant for space, in cooperation with stakeholders in the Obsolescence Splinter Group (OSG) of the Materials and Processes Technology Board (MPTB) and the ESA SME Office. The poster will show how intuitive user interface design can help to clarify the complex topic of REACH and obsolescence management. Finally, the adaptations made to cope with current challenges in an ever-changing chemical regulatory landscape with be discussed, including a novel solution to mapping PFAS uses in the European Space Sector.
